EXPLORE - DISCOVER- GROW
We acknowledge the traditional owners and custodians of the land and sea upon which we live, work and meet, the Darumbal people. We pay our deep respect to all elders past, present and emerging.
ABOUT US
Welcome to the Learning Tree Yeppoon! We are a family business with a passion for providing quality and unique Child Care services. With community, environment and sustainability at our core, The Learning Tree Yeppoon focuses on a play-based, holistic approach to learning. With natural resources and play spaces, we offer a warm and creative environment for the wildest imaginations. We have veggie gardens, a compost pit, frog and bug hotels, a mud kitchen, musical instruments, large grassed areas, a beautiful art room and cooking facilities especially designed for little kitchen hands. We plan on welcoming chickens and worms as well! Within this warm, fun and safe environment, where the Kookaburra's laugh every day, we encourage and motivate children to explore their interests, embrace their personalities and grow through play.

Our Philosophy
We believe in delivering high quality care and empowering children through an inclusive environment where individuality is embraced and nurtured. We value diversity and equality and strongly believe that every child deserves respect, trust and kindness with an opportunity to explore, grow and learn in a safe and supportive space.

The Learning Tree Yeppoon adopts an inquiry based approach, encouraging
children to investigate the world around them, ask questions and learn through play. Play helps children discover who they are and what they are capable of!
We believe that taking the time to establish and build relationships with children, their parents and families is imperative. Working together is the key ingredient to supporting positive learning outcomes and development. We value family input and encourage family involvement at The Learning Tree.

We are committed to protecting our environment and believe that we must work individually and collectively to not only preserve what remains but start the repair.
The systems that support us and our environment, are a precious legacy. We will reuse, recycle and repurpose. We will reduce our ecological footprint and we will encourage and live these values within the centre, and among the wider community.
The Learning Tree will use renewable energy, we will compost, use rainwater on our garden and veggie gardens, re-vegetate and re-plant in the playgrounds and surrounds. We will source repairable toys, sustainable products and building materials.
Our kids deserve nothing less.
